Morgantown, WV – David McKinley has received the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business in his election for United State House of Representatives.
“We support the candidates who support small business, and Representative McKinley clearly supports small business," said Gil White, state director of NFIB/West Virginia.
"Day in and day out, Representative McKinley has supported Main Street West Virginia by consistently voting for legislation that will help our small businesses grow and create jobs," White said. “We need to send him back to Washington to continue fighting for West Virginia’s job creators, its small businesses."
In response to receiving the endorsement McKinley said, “It is an honor to receive the endorsement of the NFIB. Jobs have been my number one priority from day one. Too many West Virginians are out of work and families are struggling to make ends meet. We have to continue to oppose taxes and regulations that hurt our West Virginia small businesses.”
“As a small business owner for 30 years I understand the tough choices small businesses have to make on a daily basis, I have signed the front of a paycheck and understand what it means to have families relying on you to make ends meet,” McKinley said. “I look forward to continue working together to create jobs in West Virginia.”
This endorsement continues the momentum of a growing coalition of both business and labor groups who support Congressman McKinley in his re-election campaign.
NFIB has 1,700 dues-paying members in West Virginia representing a cross-section of the state's economy. The endorsements come from NFIB’s SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the association’s political action committee, and are based on positions regarding key small-business issues including health care, taxes, and labor and regulatory issues.
